Here you are shown the type of exercise you are about to perform, in this example the exercise is related to muscle stability.
The equipment required identifies the the type of items the user can find round their home like a chair or pen, this exercise requires you to use a chair.
Sets is how many sets of the exercise you need to complete, this excercise has 4 sets.
If the user starts to find the exercise easy, in order to test the automaticity of the task the user is give a "Zing Boost". A Zing Boost gives the 'thinking' part of the brain something to do at the same time as a physical movement. It is an important part of the program and will accelerate the new development of brain cells.
Exercise instructions are displayed on the righthand side of the screen and are accompanied by an avatar demonstrating the exercise along with an audio description.
Here you have a timer which shows the time remaining for that part of the exercise.
The user needs to complete their sessions on a daily basis, and each session contains 2 sets of exercises which take approximately 10 minutes.
They can be performed at any point during the day, however, we do advise that they leave at least 4 hours between each session.
We also recommend that they do their second set of exercises at least a couple of hours before they go to bed as they are designed to stimulate the brain and may affect their sleep.
Rating
Once an exercise has been completed they will be asked to rate it. There are ‘I’ buttons to give them more information about each rating description. The ‘Daily Progress’ is the percentage of exercises you have completed for that day.
Zing Points
The user can acquire Zing Points every time they complete a set of exercises. The points awarded are not based on how the exercise are rated but by completing them.
They can earn more points depending on their Zing streak, so if they complete both sets of exercises every day they will start to see an increase in the amount of Zing Points awarded.
These points then help to earn badges which I will explain how the badges work later on in the video.
